Flour tortillas are a much-missed victim of my gluten free lifestyle. Sure, I use corn tortillas when a recipe calls for flour tortillas, but it is just not the same. I have a brand of rice tortillas in the past but they looked, felt and tasted like cardboard. Yes, I do need fiber in my diet but not in that way!
I tried Rudi’s Gluten Free Tortillas last week and I cannot stop eating them. The combination of seven different flours makes for a much better texture and flavor than other gluten free tortillas I’ve tried. They are bit stiff but when heated soften up nicely. And, yes, they are thinner and tend to flake more than wheat flour tortillas but I don’t care; I love them anyway!!!
In addition to the plain tortillas, Rudi’s also makes these gluten free tortillas in Spinach and Fiesta flavors. I have not tried those yet but will very, very soon!
